Your Shape featuring Jenny McCarthy (Jenny is your work-out buddy!)

Ubisoft today announced that it has partnered with actress, comedienne, host and best-selling author Jenny McCarthy for Your Shape featuring Jenny McCarthy, a ground-breaking new fitness title that leverages the technological advances of an entirely new, revolutionary camera for the Wii system from Nintendo. Scheduled to be released worldwide this Holiday 2009, Your Shape featuring Jenny McCarthy is the first fitness video game that enables people to work-out controller-free. Your Shape featuring Jenny McCarthy comes with a camera peripheral that features Ubisoft's proprietary motion tracking technology, which provides a completely personalized and interactive work-out by scanning players' bodies, assessing their current fitness level and then projecting their images onto the TV.

In addition to being the face of Your Shape featuring Jenny McCarthy in North America, Jenny will also be your in-game work-out buddy, providing a fun and motivating exercise experience, while also ensuring that players get the most efficient, and effective, work-out possible. Once the player completes an initial fitness test, McCarthy's in-game avatar will be able to completely personalize their workout routine to both their fitness level as well as their personal fitness goals. And, with the innovative new motion tracking technology, the game is able to follow a player's movements as they work-out, and guides them so that they know whether or not they're doing the exercises correctly.

"Partnering with Jenny McCarthy was a no-brainer for us," said Tony Key, vice president of sales and marketing, North America. "Her commitment to fitness, and exceptionally wide fan-base, make her an ideal fit for the Your Shape brand. Best of all, she will make the workout fun for players, which is an element that has been missing in the fitness game market."

"I am thrilled to be working with Ubisoft on Your Shape," said Jenny McCarthy. "The features in the game are incredible, and you have to see the technology to believe it. I was blown away. I truly believe in the importance of fitness, and Your Shape featuring Jenny McCarthy is the perfect way to get a truly interactive, personalized workout on Wii. Given how busy we all are these days, especially once you have kids, it is important to find the most effective way to keep fit from the comfort of home."

As co-host of the popular MTV series Singled Out, McCarthy's outrageous and fun-loving personality made her an instant favorite with television viewers. She segued into her own MTV comedy/variety show, The Jenny McCarthy Show, which led to her NBC sitcom Jenny, in 1997. HarperCollins published McCarthy's autobiography, Jen-X, in the Fall of 1997. Her comedic take on pregnancy and childbirth, Belly Laughs, was released in spring 2004 and earned a spot on the prestigious New York Times Bestseller List. A follow-up, Baby Laughs, published in spring 2005, also made the New York Times list. A third book in this successful series, Life Laughs, released a year later in spring 2006. Louder Than Words: A Mother's Journey in Healing Autism, was released in mid-September 2007 and her latest book, Healing and Preventing Autism: A Complete Guide, was released in March of 2009. McCarthy has recently become the spokesperson for Weight Watchers, encouraging healthy living and nutrition for new moms, and she currently has a development deal with Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions. She will be seen next in the ABC Family original movie, "Santa Baby 2."

New 'Your Shape' game for Wii names Jenny McCarthy as spokesbabe

Ubisoft has named actress and one-time Playmate of the Year Jenny McCarthy as the celebrity saleswoman for its upcoming fitness game, Your Shape. The Nintendo Wii-only release, due this holiday season, comes with a camera that uses body-tracking software to monitor exercising players in real-time.

Initially, the game's camera scans your body, assesses your fitness level and projects your image on the TV. (Uh oh!) After that fitness test, Jenny's avatar becomes your workout buddy and helps you personalize your workout and goals.

"I am thrilled to be working with Ubisoft on Your Shape," McCarthy said in a statement. "The features in the game are incredible, and you have to see the technology to believe it. I was blown away.

Jenny McCarthy sets the record straight on vaccines

In the September issue of Cookie magazine, Jenny McCarthy makes it clear that there will neither be marriage nor a baby carriage for she and boyfriend Jim Carrey!

“It’s wacky-weird that not only does he not want to get married, which I love,” the 36-year-old actress says, “but he also doesn’t want to have more kids, which I love.”

For now, the couple of more than three years are content to focus on Jenny’s son Evan Joseph, 7, who continues to thrive following his “recovery” from autism.

“I have him in every sport you can imagine for socialization, but he is [already] one of the most social kids you will ever meet,” she boasts.

Things have of course not always gone so well for mother and son.

In the interview, Jenny details an event she calls her “second rock bottom,” the first being when Evan went into cardiac arrest in 2004.

Following a seizure Evan was given a medication that caused him to stay awake for four days straight, suffering hallucinations and banging his head against a bed until he bled. Jenny recalls,

“I ran out of my house and into my driveway and screamed at the top of my lungs to God to just take him away, because I loved him so much and he was in so much pain.”

Going on “blind faith,” Jenny switched her son to a gluten-free, casein-free diet and the results were dramatic; Within two weeks, Evan’s vocabulary doubled, she says.

As a result of her experience, the biomedical approach to treating autism has become so important to Jenny she now serves on the board of Generation Rescue, an advocacy and research group that calls for — among other things — the elimination of toxins in vaccines and a delayed vaccine schedule.
